Magdalena Starzecki

Magdalena Starzecki is a Polish artist who graduated from Cracow University of Technology in Architecture and Urban Design. She currently lives in Singapore and works in the fields of design and painting.

Her background in design opened doors for her to travel and work in several countries in different continents. Having to experience different cultures and environments provides constant input of new, exotic inspirations for the structural base for her works. Her painting expresses unusual objects, figures, animals, architecture, sculpture and a broad spectrum of nature.

Her relationship with the world is translated through her art. Each work often paints her personal experiences, feelings and analysis. She experiments with colors to express her feelings about a subject rather than plainly mirroring the reality.

Creating her own world through new hue, composition, scale and simplified forms, she gives deeper meanings; playing with subconscious, actuating and invoking new feelings. She often highlights the emotional aspect of the fast changing, contemporary world where limits are always pushed. She constantly experiments and develops her techniques, with her main forte being oil and acrylic painting.
